Patrick Vedra

 

Patrick Vedra has over 19 years of diversified experience in the areas of real estate, finance, leadership and strategy. As Managing Director of Carwin Advisors, he has been instrumental in advising numerous lenders and investors on strategies for maximizing the value of distressed real estate assets. Mr. Vedra’s expertise includes guiding lender groups through the bankruptcy process; negotiating entitlements, determining valuations and; and leading efforts to reposition and restructure distressed master-planned communities and mixed use developments.

 

Before joining Carwin Advisors, Vedra served as the Director of Active Adult Housing for David Weekley Homes, where he led strategic, nationwide efforts by the company to acquire and develop land positions and build homes for baby boomers. He also developed much of the company’s opportunistic strategy to identify, evaluate, and acquire distressed residential real estate from lenders, builders and investors as the U.S. entered the most recent housing correction. Mr. Vedra’s experience also includes working in multiple markets for national homebuilders, managing all aspects of large-scale, master-planned-community development and land acquisition.

 

He began his professional career flying fighter aircraft for the U.S. Navy before joining the private sector where he initially worked in global strategic planning and capital budgeting at General Motors. Mr. Vedra graduated with Honors from the University of Notre Dame with a BBA in Accounting and earned an MBA in Finance from the Kogod School of Business at American University.
